American Cancer Society Relay For Life

Auralite had the amazing opportunity to sell at DVHS American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life! We spent the morning and day before the event creating our tri-fold poster and preparing materials (pre-made phone charms, beads and string, stickers, pliers and scissors, etc) to make the jewelry and phone charm items we were going to sell. Early in the morning, we finished our poster and arrived at Relay for Life to set up our table in front of the field. We also prepared a Team Wheels vs Team Doors tip jar! Our plan was to make personalized orders on-demand, but we also prepared about 20 jewelry items beforehand to sell.

Students came to our table with different designs in mind, from a phone charm with their name, to one that said “I love mac and cheese” for their friend. Colors, beads, and aethetics also varied. One of the best moments was when a mom wanted to buy a phone charm for her daughter and didn’t have any spare change. She actually went all the way to Safeway to get the change, and came back to our stand after to design the charm!

We had so much fun at DVHS ACS’s Relay for Life. Although it began to rain, we were overwhelmed with orders and support from our peers! It put a smile to our faces seeing our classmates wearing our jewelry and displaying Auralite phone charms on their phones. We will no doubt do more events like this in the future!
